Mother of All Farmers Markets

New England’s best Farmers Market (according to Yankee Magazine) happens in Coventry Connecticut, at the Nathan Hale Homestead. The Coventry Farmers Market usually fields fifty to seventy vendors, from vegetables (imagine!) to meat, fish, baked goods, sandwiches, soups, flowers, and more.

The kicker to this farmers market is their event schedule, which has yet to be published for 2017. The prime event for us usually occurs toward the end of September – the Fiber Fest. In addition to the regular vendors, twenty or so fiber people come in selling everything from sheep and alpaca roving, yarn, knitted goods, woven goods, and more.

Please keep an eye out for the Fiber Fest to show up on their events schedule and take a day trip to mid-Connecticut. I think you’ll like it.
