Overshot/Floatwork Fabric in Use

I’m feeling rather pleased with how my little upholstery job turned out. This is my No. 18 Name Unknown (Atwater) overshot/floatwork fabric. I used one side of the fabric on the seat and the other on the back. -MelissaDSC_0175

  1. You must be over the moon with how everything turned out!
Thank you so much for sharing the beautiful end result of your overshot journey with us.
    It’s inspiring 🙂

P.S. What a great idea to reverse the pattern on the top and bottom sections!

  2. That’s stunning Melissa. I’ve been thinking about covering my dining room chairs for a while. You’ve inspired me to get on it. Thanks for sharing.

  3. That’s fabulous, Melissa! If you didn’t have it in NEWS this year, you should submit it to the gallery show next time. What 2 (or more) yarns did you use? Sett? I haven’t braved upholstery yet, but I have a chair seat I need to do.

    Thanks for sharing!
