Rare Breed Table Runner Exchange

All USA rare sheep breeds are now covered in our table runner exchange.  Aside from the three hair breeds, nine fleece breeds have been “adopted” by weavers (and some spinners) and all fibers have been sourced!

As a review – the agreed upon size for the runner is 18″ x 48″.  Only the natural color(s) of the sheep should be used in the runner.  However, the design and weave structure is entirely up to the weaver.  The deadline has been extended into 2011 and we will discuss an actual deadline date at our next guild meeting.

  1. Thanks for the extension!
I’ve actually been spinning my CVM roving and it’s turning out so pretty.
Now I just need to find a design that speaks to me.

These are going to be stunning!

  2. I just love the fact that we will be able to promote rare sheep breeds through our guild display at NEWS. After seeing what was accomplished with our bookmarks, I cannot wait to see the table runners.

I have a “little” surprise to share at the next guild meeting that involves our “Old England to New England” bookmark exchange!

  3. Wow, you definitely must dream in color!! No, not a visit but a little something that I felt was a nice surprise and hope everyone in guild will as well.

Hint – think in terms of black and white.
