Hi, everyone, great meeting last night!<\/p>\n
I didn\u2019t get a chance to discuss books, fearing lack of time. I have been given
\na box of weaving\/spinning\/felting books from Polly, Lorna\u2019s Mom. She is willing
\nto both sell some and donate some of them to the library.<\/p>\n
Given our discussion on space, we probably don\u2019t want to put all of them in the
\nlibrary. There is very little overlap with our library \u2013 only 3-4 books. The majority
\nare weaving books, but sort of non-mainstream ones, IMHO.<\/p>\n
I\u2019ve chosen a few that I think really belong in our library:<\/p>\n
Rag Rug Handbook \u2013 Janet Meany and Paula Pfaff
\nHandwoven Design Collection #8 \u2013 Just Rags
\nA Weaver\u2019s Book of 8 Shaft Patterns \u2013 Carol Strickler
\nIn Sheep\u2019s Clothing \u2013 Nola Fournier and Jane Fournier (spinning)<\/p>\n
I imagine none of you will object to adding the first 3 to the library. We touched
\non considering taking non-weaving books out of the library due to space limitations,
\nso the last one is a \u201cmaybe\u201d, IMHO. But it looks like a spinning classic.<\/p>\n
I don\u2019t really want to take the time to list the other 20 or so books and booklets.<\/p>\n
Any suggestions as to how we decide which ones should go in the library?
\nPerhaps at the next meeting, a volunteer (Leah? our next librarian?) could
\nreview them and add any others they felt were valuable to the \u201clibrary
\ndonation\u201d pile, and then I\u2019ll sell the rest on Polly\u2019s behalf?<\/p>\n
